F.A.Q - Frequently Asked Question

Great Question,

Ko e me'a pau pe 'eni 'e taha kuo mahino mai mei he Case Study 'o e ngaue ne lava 'i Trinidad and Tobago, 'oku fu'u fiema'u 'aupito 'a e kotoa 'o e kau ICT 'a e pule'anga ke nau 'ilo mo kau ki he ngaahi fakakaukau mo e fokotu'utu'u ki he konga ko ee ki he Pule'anga pe e-Government.

Mei ai, te tau pehee leva 'oku fu'u fiema'u ke tau kau ki he ngaahi Working Groups tenau lave tonu kiatautolu mo 'etau 'api ngaue.

For success, the Trinidad and Tobago Case Study needs all Government ICT personnel to be involved in the eGovernment process, this does not necessarily mean you have to say something on every topic, but awareness of current discussion points and raising a hand when things look wrong to you is very very important. Essentially, if it effects you or your organisation you should at least be listening in on the discussions and raising a hand every now and then.

I believe this to be the same for all the Working Groups, we need your good brains (and the other half bad brains when available) in as many Working Groups you feel a conviction for.

The main advantage of having the Online Working Group discussion forums (we've chosen googlegroups for our use) is that all of us can keep abreast, in touch with the discussions of all the other groups. If you use Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird, ask and we can help you organise your email using Rules/Filters and Threads so the discussions stay organised.

In the MOH sphere of existence, there are many groups that contribute to the success of MOH's delivery of service, including eGov, educ, tech. In the infancy(?) stage of MOH's ICT Development, I personally think if you attach yourself to eGov, and Tech that would be a good start.

http://groups.google.com/group/tg-egov
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-tech

Go onto either or both of those sites and "invite" yourself, or just email / call me directly and I'll send out an invite for you.

ciao,

Sam T.

Thanks for writing and attending.  MOH's input into the national ICT policy is vital.  I think you should be in the govt or technical group.  I am copying this to Sam who is the main facilitator for the working groups.

Alfred,

Sorry Alfred, I am the participant from Ministry of Health to attend the National ICT workshop, and I just received a direction from Sunia Soakai to attend the workshop. And on my first day on Thursday, I participate as one on the new member of the Education working group. Please I need your assistance that I really need to be participating in most reliable working group. I take Technical the most reliable working group to participate if this possible or just to continue with the Education working group.

I know for sure that there are members in each working group that they should move to another working group in-order he/she will interest in participating in the strive to implement the National ICT.

I will appreciate your comments.

Respectfully,

Tu’amelie Paea.

Moving around is recommended, staying connected is also very much requested.

Remember we can pick the groups we want to be added to by just
clicking on their discussion website address:

http://groups.google.com/group/tg-educ
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-egov
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-home
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-indus
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-tech
http://groups.google.com/group/tg-legis (not yet available)

I'm sure your real-life experience with trying to get/keep a WAN up
within a budget will be really helpful with the tech group, but also
in egov.
