quick question on orthography

so this isn't a problem when we write in hanja but when transcribing
tg into roman ja or the new writing system should we use spaces
between syllables? we are definitely using spaces between words (in
hanja and alphabets) but what about between characters? e.g., hanja,
han ja, or han'ja? it's pretty unambiguous for words like hanja but
what about for nimen? is it nim en or ni men? cjk don't have this
problem because each morpheme is one syllable but we need to decide
quick.
