Dear NGO members,
Good morning and greetings from the German Embassy KL!
We are pleased to announce that there is a funding opportunity for Human Rights Projects for next year. Germany is committed to promoting and protecting human rights across the world. Hence, the Federal Foreign Office is allocating a sum of between 20,000 – 100,000 Euros for individual and specific projects with a clearly defined content that have to be completed by December 2018. Projects spanning several years are not eligible for this funding opportunityUnfortunately, it is not possible to cover institutional support for human rights organisations (staff salaries, operating costs etc), except for certain administrative expenses.
Kindly refer to the PDF attached for more information.
Interested parties should revert to us with a filled form by the 13th of November 2017. If full documentation cannot be completed by this date, a short summary and financial calculation will be accepted for preliminary vetting to create a shortlist of projects which will then be presented to the German Foreign Miistry.
Since there is a worldwide competition for the funds of the human rights programme, usually only one project per country can be approved. The final decision lies with the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin and not with the Embassy.
Should there be any questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a pleasant day.
Warm regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Salam sejahtera,
