With regards to the above, I would like to humbly introduce you to our organisation, Teach For The Needs (TFTN); a non-profit movement aimed at providing extra educational assistance to school pupils from less fortunate households (below RM800 household income). Founded on 1st March 2012, by teachers genuinely concerned with sections of their student body, we operate on a nimble and benevolent model. We have more than 20 qualified government-trained teachers and 300 registered volunteers nationwide to provide free tuition classes to children ("Anak-Anak TFTN") who cannot afford private tuition classes. On top of this, we are patron to a few orphanages across the nation, where our non-teacher volunteers come along to conduct classes and workshops alongside charity drives.
For your information, we are currently providing free tuitions to more than 300 pupils in 20 schools and 18 Rumah Anak Yatim (RAY), among others;
1. Rumah Darul Hikmah, Gopeng, Perak,
2. Rumah Baitul Husna, Kuantan, Pahang,
3. Rumah Khairiyah, Klang, Selangor,
4. Sekolah Pelarian Kanak-Kanak Chin Myanmar, Damansara, Selangor; and
5. Rumah Anak Yatim Kristian, Tambun, Perak.
In our continuing efforts to provide free equal educational opportunities to the underprivileged students in Malaysia, TFTN would be holding a Theatre Festival by our Anak- Anak TFTN (The Event) Saturday, 23rd August 2014, 8.00 pm at PJ Live Arts Centre (PJLA) and Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah is scheduled to deliver the keynote address. Hence we are selling tickets for the price of RM 5000, RM 8000 or RM10,000 per 10 tickets.
Funding from your good organisation will be channeled towards, among others, the following TFTN yearly programmes;
1. Reference books, dictionaries and stationeries for pupils under our care,
2. Reading materials (story, graphical and cartoons) for pupils under TFTN Reading Campaign 2013,
3. Token incentives for successful pupils in examination,
4. Mushaf Al-Quran; Quran pieces for orphanages under our care (currently three Islamic orphanages),
5. Weekly free tuition by our Teacher Ambassadors,
6. Weekly RAY (Rumah Anak Yatim) activities (games, classes and extra co-curricular visits),
7. Learning aids and materials for our Teacher-Ambassadors and Volunteers,
8. Teaching method training and motivation camp for Teacher-Ambassadors and Volunteers,
9. TFTN Annual Educational Convention for both Teacher Ambassadors and Volunteers,
10. Future recruitment of new Teacher-Ambassadors,
11. Future expansion of Rumah Anak Yatim program, and
12. TFTN management, functions and events.
