Greetings from People Potential.
We know that meetings are critical to every organisation. However, meetings which are badly run are a waste of time and resources. Poorly-run meetings result in suboptimal or delayed decisions, increased stress, and poorer work relationships.
How then can we transform painful and pointless meetings to productive and rewarding ones?
People Potential is offering a Tools for Better Meetings programme to civil society organisations (CSOs) on 2 and 3 Dec 2017 (Saturday & Sunday), so that you can have better meetings. The programme will run from 9am to 5pm at North South Initiative, Petaling Jaya.
The programme will be delivered by Jacqueline Ann Surin, who is the only certified Clean Language Coach and Group Facilitator in Southeast Asia, and who has been certified as a Level 5 coach and mentor by the UK-based Institute of Leadership and Management. She has taught these tools in the UK, Singapore and Malaysia. Jacqueline also has years of experience working with and supporting human rights organisations in Malaysia.
WHY ATTEND?
Over this two day training programme, participants will be able to:
- Engage more productively at meetings.
- Manage different working styles, values, priorities and opinions, and minimise misunderstandings.
- Move away from blaming to become more outcome-focused.
- Create conditions for individuals to engage at their best.
- Understand what needs to happen for teams to collaborate and align better, to deliver their KPIs.
- Commit to decisions being made.
DECIDING WHO TO SEND
The programme is suitable for:
- General participants, whether managers or non-managers, who want to learn facilitation and meeting tools, OR
- A group that meets regularly, for example, an executive committee that meets for tactical weekly meetings, or strategic monthly meetings.
- It is helpful for at least a pair per organisation to attend the training together, so that they will be able to continue to work together after the programme.
- Full 2-day participation is required.
- Priority will be given to organisations that want to send their executive committee, or 3-4 participants.
