(PalmOS) Tangled and Tangled Sighting applications released - version 10.8.1

Version 10.8.1 of the Tangled field guide application and the Tangled
Sighting application is now available under the "PalmOS devices"
heading in the "Tangled platforms column" at http://eduneer.com

Change log:
-- converted DB strings to unicode
-- implemented AOU checklist changes in supplement 51
-- changed species symbol compression algorithm for result to fit in 4
byte signed integer

Notes:
This update is not recommended for everyone. Compare the benefits and
costs and decide for yourself whether it is right for you. Updating
to the new version gives access to the latest AOU checklist. However,
because I am not planning to update the multimedia for another month
or so, the cost is temporarily losing access to the multimedia of the
species with names that have changed (i.e., losing access to 31
recordings and 36 photographs).

Installation notes:
As usual, delete the old application (by using the PalmOS 'App/Delete'
menu item) before installing the new application by running the
installer application (e.g., tangled-Installer.prc).
