Hey Team!

I sent an email out this morning to all Lower Elementary CM's explaining the new structure this spring (you were cc'ed on it). The RSVP link for the Literacy Conference is through Eventbrite: http://elementarylitconference.eventbrite.com. If you send out any emails, please include this link. We're going to try Eventbrite out this spring.

Jess Newburn and I met on Friday evening to discuss the new structure and logistics a little bit more. Here is the result of that conversation:
  • Communication:
    • SCL's will be the main pipeline for communication. All PD's will communicate CM strengths and areas of needed focus, general and/or specific CM's, to us and we'll streamline that information to you. This will ensure that no one falls through the cracks and we're being consistent with our communication.
    • SCL's will send out a monthly news blast to all CM's that will serve as a reminder of upcoming events and will contain helpful tips, ideas, resources, etc. Any input you have to include in this blast, please send it my way whenever you have it.
    • Workshop owners and the PLC coordinator will determine the means of communication. SCL's will not be directly responsible for this role.
  • Session Design & Facilitation: Attached are some questions to consider when planning and presenting your workshops this spring. Session feedback will be around these questions. This will ensure that all sessions are aligned in some way. Please take a minute to read them over and send a quick email line to me with anything you want to add or change. These are very flexible, and Jess and I would love your input.
  • Team Vision & Goals: We spent the majority of our time at the meeting talking about the new structure and logistics for the spring. Therefore, we did not have the time to discuss our team's vision and goals. I take full responsibility for not prioritizing this piece. I do; however, still believe it is important. Therefore, please take a moment and reply to this email with any ideas and goals that you feel are important for our team this spring. I will them compile them and send it out in a follow-up email for us to edit and agree upon. Thanks for your understanding and thoughtfulness in regards to this item.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the content of this email, spring structure/logistics, workshop planning, etc. I am excited for our work this spring, and think it'll be extremely effective. Thank you for your continued dedication and hard work. You are all fantastic leaders in our movement!

Best,
Ashley
