Dear Content Leaders,
Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a wonderful and restful weekend.
April 30th is our final workshop day for corps members. Our vision for the day is helping corps members deepen their classroom vision by giving them tools that can be used in the last month of school and as they begin thinking about the upcoming school year. This day of workshops involves more "big picture" topics, not necessarily things that corps members can implement the next day. (Athough the workshops may encourage corps members to try new things during the last month).
The workshop will be held on April 30th from 10-1 pm in the East Bay. The location is still being finalized. Below is a list of workshop topics that we generated in January. The names of Content Leaders who agreed to own and/or present each workshop is also listed. Please read over this list, then
email me by Thursday, April 7th, to confirm whether you are still able and willing to own this workshop. The workshops will be 1 hour long and presented twice. If you would like to adjust the topic of your workshop, or if you have a topic that you think should be covered, please contact me so that we can begin advertising for corps members.
Action Steps: Email Rachel by Thursday, April 7 to confirm your facilitation of the following workshops:
- Writing Instruction - Matt and Jeff
- Thematic/Cross-Content Units - Maddie
- Summer Work and Student Drive - Ashley and Rob
- Student-Led Initiatives - Jeff Homan will talk to James, Maddie will co-own
- Parent Partnership and Advocacy - Gilbert
- Long-Term Planning - Maggie and Hilary
- Student Driven Conversations - Erin Drake
Thank you,
Rachel
