My biggest problem is that UNDO/REDO doesn't work lika other editors.
It may be good that it skips some steps, but when it jumps to another
position it can be problem i think. I am not able to see that step I
want to UNDO/REDO! I feel it can be dangerous if I can't find back to
where I was.

This is an essenteial thing that must work! Now something that work in
JED or UltraEdit but not in TW, making TW so ineffective to work with:

When I mark a word and do CTRL+F that word don't come up as a
suggestion in the find-field. Instead I must do CTRL+C, CTRL+F, CTRL+V
and loosing what I had in the buffer! How can this be accepted? I can
see this issue in Smultron too. So maybe you in the team not yet
experienced an editor with a much more useful find/replace.

I always want to have line number in the left marging. But always I
must go to Edit/Text Options to select it, because it forgets. Is
there another place I can select this globally? I can't find it in
TextWrangler/preferences.

I don't want to change back to JED because I like TW and will give it
a try.

This throws me off a little sometimes, too. I don't know when Undo
will cause TW to jump to a previous selection and when it won't. But I
do like getting my previous selection back, so I guess it's a trade-off.

See: Search > Find Selected Text. (To set a keyboard shortcut for
this, such as CTRL-SHIFT-F, go to Preferences > Menus.)

You could always buy a copy of BBEdit. While it's not free like the
excellent TextWrangler, it's made by the same people and has even more
features.

Wow that was nice!

CTRL + F is for me now Preferences > Menus > Find Selected Text

CTRL + R is for me now Preferences > Menus > Find...

Should be as default in TW ;)

Line Numbers, didnt know what sub-cathegory to find in. I looked them

actually, TextWrangler's preferences are searchable (use the button for the sliding sheet in the top right of the preferences).
Search for e.g. "numbers" should find this easily.
TextWrangler has the keyboard shortcut CMD-E "Use Selection for Find" which actually is pretty much a Mac OS X standard, so it can be used in other programmes (e.g. Preview, Safari) as well.

All the best
Thomas
