Hi,

I'm wondering about something with TextWrangler - If I start it up on
a Mac there is a window that I can start typing into. If there were a
system or program crash for some reason is there any way to recover
what I had typed into that window? In other words, where does the
content that I type into that new document window titled "untitled
text". I looked around in this group and found a comment about
TextWrangler putting some temporary files in the ~/Library/Caches/TW
FTP Temp/ folder but there is nothing there for this case. I'm not
FTPing anything just entered text into that window and before I had a
chance to save it there was a crash and I'm hoping that it got saved
away somewhere on my hard disk. I looked in the !/Library/Caches
folder and didn't see anything that appeared to have anything to do
with TextWrangler except for ~/Library/Caches/
com.barebones.textwrangler but the only file it had was called
Cache.db and it didn't contain any of what I had typed into another
TextWrangler new document window (just did a "strings Cache.db | grep
some_string").

Any suggestions or tricks on how to recover this text that had never
been saved to a file???

Thanks...

-Bob

The response that you received from Tech Support in response to
case 195125 is accurate and complete.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they
sedate me.
