Hi,
I get this error using Text Wrangler (also happens with BBEdit) when
working on files that are attached as SMB volumes to my MacBook Pro
running Snow Leopard.

Wondering if others have come across this?

It's extremely frustrating as it happens every first or second
keystroke and basically means I have to copy files locally, make
edits, then copy back!

Interested in others experiences and anything I can do to stop this
from happening.

Note: I have used other text editors such as Text Mate without a
problem.

Cheers,
Jase.

One quick "fix" would be to go to Preferences, and in the
"Application" window, un-tick "Automatically refresh documents as they
change on disk"
