techniques for versioning

is anyone willing to share their practices for versioning with TW?

My scenario is improving a given page, while keeping the previous one which worked and validated, minus the next "improvement."

I drag that working file from cyberduck into a folder, and append the name manually with something like 230pm (my quickie timestamp).

But I have to think that technique is out of the dark ages...

any thoughts?

Well, use an actual version control system. For a basic setup, git works great and works well on Mac.

I use Cornerstone, nice UI and I can compare my working version with
any previous one.
