Value of 'unread' in response to the receive command

The documentation does not clearly say what the value means. I would
guess there is a limit on the number of unread messages in the
response and the unread values denotes the number of messages, which
still need to be fetched. If so, what is the limit?
Whether I'm right or wrong, it would be nice to have it in the docs...
Also, are there limits on the number of phone number in send command
and number of ids in message_status and delete_reply commands?

I had different theory. I thought that unread count is the number of
messages that have been received since last fetch.

I agree, the meaning of unread count should be clarified in the
documentation. I've added it to usability remarks:

I did couple of tests and unread count is always ZERO:
