Hi,

I wonder if there is a plan to support Mac OSX. I guess the issue has
to do with the trackerserver ... would you consider sharing the source
code or publish the APIs (or a description of what the trackerserver
is doing)? I am interested in getting it run on the Mac.

Best,

Hi,

the source code of most of the components is published (except some
low level interfaces) and licensed LGPL. You can get it here:

http://code.google.com/p/text20/source/checkout

Remember to select the component you are interested in ('Repository'
drop-down in the upper left). Mac OS is definitely on our wish-list,
but it might take some time (a Mac compatible Tobii SDK is required
first). If that SDK arrives, we also need some additional time to make
the tracking server work with it. The main challenge will be accessing
the (likely C-style) API from the Java side and wrapping events /
callbacks.

However, right now all components run on Mac (only true eye tracking
does not work); I develop eye tracking apps with Safari 5 on 10.6 on a
daily basis.

Kind regards
Ralf
