How to Install XAMPP 7.3.2 on Windows with License Key

XAMPP is a popular and easy-to-use Apache distribution that includes MariaDB, PHP, and Perl. It allows you to create and test web applications on your local machine without the need for a web server. In this article, we will show you how to download, install, and activate XAMPP 7.3.2 on Windows with a license key.

Step 1: Download XAMPP 7.3.2

You can download XAMPP 7.3.2 from the official website of Apache Friends[^1^] or from SourceForge[^2^]. There are different versions of XAMPP for Windows, depending on the PHP version and the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit). For this tutorial, we will use the 64-bit version of XAMPP with PHP 7.3.2.

The file name is xampp-windows-x64-7.3.2-2-VC15-installer.exe and it has a size of 153.4 MB[^1^]. You can verify the integrity of the file by checking its md5 or sha1 checksum[^1^].

Step 2: Install XAMPP 7.3.2

After downloading the file, double-click on it to launch the installer. You may see a warning message from User Account Control (UAC) asking you to allow the program to make changes to your computer. Click Yes to continue.

The installer will ask you to select a language for the installation process. Choose your preferred language and click OK.

The installer will then display a welcome screen with some information about XAMPP and its components. Click Next to proceed.

The installer will then ask you to choose which components you want to install. By default, all components are selected, but you can uncheck any component that you don't need. For example, if you don't plan to use Perl or Tomcat, you can uncheck them. Click Next to continue.

The installer will then ask you to select a folder where XAMPP will be installed. The default location is C:\xampp, but you can change it if you want. However, it is recommended to avoid installing XAMPP in a folder that contains spaces or special characters, as this may cause problems with some components. Click Next to continue.

The installer will then show you a warning message about installing XAMPP on your C: drive, which may affect your security settings and make your system vulnerable to attacks. This is because XAMPP is designed for development purposes only and not for production environments. If you understand the risks and want to proceed, click OK.

The installer will then ask you if you want to learn more about Bitnami, which offers free installers for popular web applications that can run on top of XAMPP, such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc. If you are interested, you can check the box and click Next. Otherwise, uncheck the box and click Next.

The installer will then show you a summary of your installation settings and ask you to confirm them by clicking Next.

The installation process will begin and may take several minutes depending on your system and the components you selected.

Step 3: Activate XAMPP 7.3.2

After the installation is complete, the installer will ask you if you want to start the XAMPP Control Panel, which allows you to manage and configure the components of XAMPP. Check the box and click Finish.

The XAMPP Control Panel will open and show you the status of each component (Apache, MySQL, FileZilla, Mercury, Tomcat). You can start or stop any component by clicking on its Start or Stop button.

To activate XAMPP 7.3.2 with a license key, you need to open a web browser and go to localhost/dashboard/. This will take you to the XAMPP dashboard, which shows some information about your installation and some links to useful resources.

On the dashboard, click on the link that
