Hi, y’all!
I’m always out “beating the drum” for TMC and its members doing the
group’s publicity/PR, but since this “bulletin board” is an open forum
for all things music-related, I’m doing a personal post today to put
in a good word for a schoolmate from my long ago days at Victoria High
School – singer/songwriter Danny Everitt.

He will be in town from the Houston area to do a concert here next
week, Thursday, Feb. 11, 8-10:30 p.m., upstairs at Casbeers (1150 S.
Alamo) and I’d like to invite you to come out and enjoy his music.
(Great timing since I’ll be celebrating my birthday earlier that week,
so counting this as an extension of it!)

Danny does some great stuff and has been doing music for many, many
years, from coast to coast, including Nashville and L.A. In earlier
years he was a New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival and he's
been a nominee the last three years for Singer/Songwriter of the Year
in the Texas Music Awards. (You can give a listen to some of his music
at www.dannyeveritt.com.)

Sharing the show with him that night will be Butch Morgan (who has
shared his musical talents at several TMC events over the years) and
Walt Wilkins (of The Mystiqueros), whom I hear is very good too. It’s
just a $10 cover for all three, so a super good deal if you feel like
heading out to Casbeers next Thursday night. (Casbeers' owner, Steve
Silbas, is also a TMC member, by the way!)

If you can’t catch the show, you can also hear Danny on TMC member Jim
Beal’s Third Coast Music radio show the day of the concert at 5:30
p.m.

Getting back to TMC, if you are not already on our e-mail list to
receive our regular announcements of our upcoming events and music
news and would like to be, let me know and I’ll add you to our list.
(We do not give out this list to anyone and you have the option of
unsubscribing at any time.)

Many thanks,
Carol Sowa, 1st Vice President
Texas Music Coalition
