The way she laughs always lights up the room, and she’s always willing to help anyone out. I wouldn’t want to stress out about Texas football with anyone else. Service: Kate Dennings (Fall ‘23) Next week is service takeover. Kate will not be there. IMPORTANT INFO: Next tuesday nov 11 Unlimited hours opportunity, fa23, sp25, starlettes Do not sign up once an item is at 100 Open slots: ritz (24 needed) + freeze-dried strawbs (54 needed) If we get all 100 spots filled by tomorrow night, i will increase the goal to 150 1 ls everyone attending and packing kits at meeting (different from last semester) Deadline to remove your name is this sunday nov 9th at 11:59 If you remove your name after this deadline you will owe the hours you signed up for (i.e. if u signed up for 24 hours and take ur name off after the deadline, you will owe 24 hours…) Check in with reva and alizeh before dropping your items off Kim will be your main contact if you have any questions during takeover, do not need to fill out the service form, kate will do it based on the check in If you cant make it to meeting, send it with someone so they can check it in on behalf of you Remember the bigger purpose behind this: caritas of austin, helping real people!!!! Project Princess: Riya Bansal & Amina Imam (Spring ‘24) Lonestarpalooza *if you have bought a ticket and this new time/location creates a conflict for you plz text us <3* Location: 1972 Pub (a little past cava near the Moxy Hotel) Time: 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm When: November 8th come enjoy some good music, yummy food & drinks, and fantastic vibesss Hour Breakdown: Can earn up to 3 hours tabling 1 hour per ticket sold 1 hour if you already fulfilled requirement and are going! 3 hours for sober stars (must buy a ticket) 1-8 hrs for tabling/advertising Cabo Bobs Profit Share November 10th, 5-9pm Bring your friends and eat some good stuff! Hour breakdown: 1 hr for going and buying something 0.5 hr for each friend that comes 1 hr per friend that goes and buys something Unlimited hours!! |
DEI: Evasophia Lobo & Alizeh Manzar (Fall ‘24) Feliz Dia de los Muertos!! “Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a lively Mexican celebration held on November 1st and 2nd to honor loved ones who’ve passed away. Instead of being sad, it’s a joyful party for the dead! It is filled with music, dancing, colorful altars, candles, and bright orange marigolds. Families decorate ofrendas with photos, favorite foods, and special mementos to welcome spirits back for a visit. People wear skull makeup, eat sugar skulls, and parade through the streets in vibrant costumes. It’s a beautiful mix of love, memory, and celebration, reminding everyone that death is just another part of life and life is meant to be celebrated!” Strike Implementation form – this is the first draft of the strike form, not everything on it will be implemented, but everyone’s opinions will taken into consideration |
