Awesome idea, I know I would be willing to make the drive one weekend to meet up. San Antonio is such a lovely city! 

I can't suggest a weekend, however, that works for me. My job has been giving me like a week and a half heads up before I ship out to different states...

Sounds great!  I am swamped for May (kiddo birthday, soccer, end of school), but could do stuff any weekend in June except the 18-19 (another kiddo birthday!).  July I am free the first weekend (2-3) or the last 2 (23-24 and 30-Aug 1) but we may or may not be moving after that so I can't commit to August right now.  Of course, if we don't move, August is wide open!  Obviously for me sooner is better than later, lol!  Any suggestions for where to go?  Laurie/EnchiladaTaco mentioned Commonwealth Coffee as a cool coffee house downtown.  I would prefer something inside for at least part of it (the heat and I are not friends), but could be flexible.  If we want to think outside the box, maybe a Toastie visit to the San Antonio Museum of Art?  They have free Sunday mornings, 10am-noon.

Sounds excellent! With the first weekend in June the only conflict I have is at 10:30am on that Saturday (but it's an appointment in Alamo Heights so it's not far). What time was everybody thinking?

I've got soccer games on the West side til 11am on Saturday.  Could we do Saturday, June 4, around noon?  Commonwealth isn't open on Sundays, and the Saturday hours are 7am-3pm, so that would be early enough to get food and drinks and visit for awhile, but late enough for the Austinites and others to not have to be up at the crack of dawn, and for Amy and I to be done with our stuff before we start.  I could leave soccer early as needed, though, if people have a lot of afternoon conflicts.  Also, once we have settled on a time/date do we want to announce it on ToastCrumbs (reddit) or just make another Texas Toasties google groups announcement where people can spot it easily?

Also, here's the website for Commonwealth. I checked the menu and they have a variety of vegetarian options but people with food needs any more complicated than that might want to have a look themselves!

Yeah, I think you're right about no public announcement.  Can we update the title of this thread or do we need to post a new one just so people know the planning stage is done and we have a date?
