I started traveling and forgot this was a thing - sorry ya'll.

How about doing a happy hour on Friday at 6? Suggestions on where to go? I'm still new enough in town that I don't have favorite bars yet and am open to anything.

I am in for Friday at 6, but have no suggestions since I basically never go out to bars (ah, small children and limited drinking). Anyone else with a longer-term knowledge of San Antonio?

On a scale from laid back beers to fancy cocktails, I suggest the following:

The Friendly Spot (Southtown)
Bar du Mon Ami (Alamo Heights - super chill, and probably my personal vote)
Max's Wine Dive (Quarry)
Edison Experiment (Far North side - 1604 & Huebner)
Nectar Wine Bar & Ale House (Downtown)

I tried to give a variety of price points and locations, with the result that I probably listed too many options. I'm available for wherever though. I'll be heading over directly from work, which is near the airport area, thus pretty central.

Anybody who's been to Bar du Mon Ami--is there a good spot we should meet up? Or does anybody have an idea for making sure we see each other? (At the last meet up we wound up in two separate groups due to the restaurant geography) Maybe update this thread with your identifying info if you find yourself alone and unsure tomorrow night?

It's quite small and there's pretty much never anyone there at happy hour time. We can all wear black to signify our mourning though.

Ha, I was just thinking, "at least this time there will be a few of us who have already seen each other before!" But yes, wearing black and getting a critical mass of sad Toasties ought to do it.
