Please excuse the cross posting—I'm excited to share that the University of Texas at Arlington has three open positions in the OER Department. Visit the Open Educational Resources department webpage to read more about the work we do. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about these positions!

OER Coordinator: The OER Coordinator supports the growth of the UTA Libraries’ open educational resources (OER) initiatives by managing multiple OER publishing project timelines and workflows and collaborating with faculty to troubleshoot web-based open publishing software issues. As an active member of the OER Department team, the OER Coordinator contributes to day-to-day operations of the department, including managing the UTA CARES Grant application process and supporting outreach activities and events to raise awareness and build knowledge about OER on the UTA campus.

OER Librarian: The OER Librarian supports the growth of open educational resource (OER) adoption and creation initiatives at the UTA Libraries by developing targeted outreach strategies and providing training for faculty, staff, and students on topics including copyright and open licensing, open pedagogy, and accessibility. This position provides leadership for OER publishing activities on behalf of Mavs Open Press and administration of the UTA CARES Grant Program. Reporting to the Director of OER, the OER Librarian contributes to departmental strategic planning and assessment and serves as a subject liaison to an academic department.

Learning Resources Librarian (job posting coming soon): The Learning Resources Librarian provides leadership in leveraging library resources to impact textbook affordability, including managing the course reserves program. Working closely with other members of the Open Educational Resources Department, this position fosters outreach and builds faculty relationships to support the adoption or development of course materials that are made available at no cost to students.

Thanks,

Jessica
