TEXAS MOLLUSK SYMPOSIUM-REMINDER TO REGISTER

Hi all, 

Just a friendly reminder that the Texas Mollusk symposium is less than 5 weeks away! Deadline to submit abstracts for oral presentations has been extended until the end of this month. Please submit your abstract to Txms...@gmail.com. Hotel information is listed below as well instructions on how to register. If you have any issues with registering, please contact Patricia Madison (Patricia...@ag.tamu.edu), but make sure to copy me and Marsha May so we can keep track of things, thanks. 

Registration

Please go to https://secure.touchnet.com/C21490_ustores/web/, then search for Mollusk. Click on the 2016 Texas Mollusk Symposium and submit your registration and payment information. A couple of helpful hints are listed below:

1. While registering you will be taken to a page that will prompt you to enter your contact info. You do not have to be registered in the TAMU system to complete this page. All you need to do is enter your email address and click the "continue unregistered" button. 

2. Online registration is only for folks interested in paying by credit card. All other forms of payment (e.g., purchase order) must handled by a real person. Please direct those to Patricia Madison (Patricia...@ag.tamu.edu; 979-862-1105).

Lodging

 

Although lodging is not included with registration, individual rates have been discounted to $125.00 per night (does not include tax) at the Hyatt Regency North Dallas, 701 East Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75081.  In order to receive this rate, reservations must be made by July 25, 2016. As an FYI- Dr. Jim Stoeckel, Auburn University, will be our keynote speaker this year. Dr. Stoeckel, Professor, Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences, is an aquatic ecologist with over 20 years of research experience with molluscs and crustaceans. His current research focus is on population dynamics of unionid mussels and crayfish from the Southeastern United States.
