AUSTIN/CENTRAL TX FOLKS: It sounds like we should have a meeting!

DATE AND TIME: I'm down to meet this weekend, as next weekend I'll be out of town. I'm avail M/W/F evenings as well.

LOCATION: Javier Gonzalez suggested we meet after a danza at Barton Springs. Although I love the idea of keeping ceremony a part of our juntas, I was hoping we could meet somewhere where we could be a little more comfortable, with restrooms and such, since Sol is going to join us with the organizing. :) If danza is what folks want to do, maybe we could just meet at another location right after? Are there any other location suggestions?

AGENDA:
As for an agenda, here is what I wanted to propose:
1. Prayer/Opening
2. Brainstorm and list things that we need to do
3. Place items on a calendar for the next year
4. Assign tasks

One thing I think we should start off doing is having a collective brainstorm, where we come up with every and any think we need to do to prepare for this run. In other words, create a huge TO DO LIST. This will define solid goals.

I'm down to take notes (and will try to get access to a projector too so we can all be on the same page, literally). I can also make/brings copies of anything we need. (Maps for sure!)

If we come up with a huge list, we can then organize the items into categories and then be able to lay them out onto a calendar and assign tasks. This will define solid timelines for each goal and allow the distribution of responsibilities.

Thoughts/commments/suggestions?

Well...it's totally open.  It seems that all regions will have the same or very similar logistical items to do and that our timelines will be very similar as well.

I'd say any/everyone who wants to come, should.

And since one of the goals of that junta would be to work out the logistics so as to come up with a definitive list of things to do, the notes from that gathering should probably be cross posted anyway just as a point of reference for the other organizers.

Wish I could join you all!  I'll be flying into Austin on December 20th (day before my b-day:)  I know it's around the holidaze and all, but if anyone is in town between then and January 8th, let me know...Would love to get together to discuss route through Eagle Pass too.  If anyone would like to join me in Eagle Pass, I'm scheduling a meeting with the Kickapoo Tribe sometime late December or early January.

Abrazotes!!
Erika
