Dear TCBRTC Members and Friends,

 We hope you'll join us on Wednesday, October 22 in Fulton TX for the annual Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council (TCBRTC) Educational Seminar.  This year's seminar titled,  "Natural Experiences in the Texas Coastal Bend - Capitalizing on our Region's Greatest Assets", will be held at The Inn at Fulton Harbor in Fulton.

 Attached is a Registration Form and more information about the event.

 

Seminar topics will include:

 - How to attract a greater diversity of users to your outdoor attraction - Mashawn Butler (Texas Parks & Wildlife Department)


 - How to encourage families to reconnect with nature & the outdoors - Sara Jose (Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Project/Nueces Delta Preserve)


 - Learning the secrets to Rockport-Fulton's successful nature programs - Diane Probst & Sandy Jumper (Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce)


 - Volunteer Recruitment/Training and Retention - Courtney Dodd (Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Program/4-H Program)

Registration is $35 per person and includes lunch at Charlotte Plummer's Seafare Restaurant in Fulton. The seminar is from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm, followed by a brief TCBRTC business meeting.

The event is presented by Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council (TCBRTC) and sponsored by the Alice Chamber of Commerce/CVB.

Hey Jennifer, sorry to have to miss this event, but what an impressive topic and speaker list already! 

 

In May 2015 I will be in the Coastal Bend for a 40th annual relay run, and I wanted to ask your thoughts on whether Beach to Bay and events of that nature can have future opportunities with nature tourism?  http://www.beachtobayrelay.com/
