Thanks everyone for helping pilot the Million Mile Month last year.  Below is info for April 2015. As you can see it is really taking off as a way to get folks active, connected and outside.

New for this year will be challenges during April such as: the 1st to support healthy hearts and the American Heart Association’s national walk day, April 15th as a fun stress reliever, and of course April 22nd to encourage folks to get outside in nature.

If you are in Austin on April 1st, please join us as Mayor Adler kicks off Million Mile Month 2015, 10am at City Hall Plaza.

Million Mile Month - Looking for a fun wellness activity to engage your employees, families, and community this April?

Check out this quick video to see if the Million Mile Month is right for your organization.

The Million Mile Month is open to all organizations, companies, government agencies, education orgs and individuals. Last year 95% of participants said it was easy to administer and 80% said they exercised more.

 

HOW TO SIGN UP: Just email con...@millionmilemonth.org with the name of your organization, and tell us “My organization is in for Million Mile Month 2015 in April”.

 

After you do that, check out some of the great new features for this April 2015:

  • A Corporate Wellness implementation guide with a calendar, sample posters, promo materials, and communication tools
  • Connect devices (like Fitbit) and apps (MapMyFitness) for automatic mile logging
  • Employees can register under a specific department, location/office or branch within your company so you can track data/progress at a detailed level
  • Each company receives a private Organization page showing lots of great data
  • The Leaderboards are expanding to include states 
  • Employees from across the globe can participate

The interest and growth in the Million Mile Month has been amazing. The Mayors of Austin, Houston  and Dallas, are participating, as is Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt; plus the employees with Travis County and City employees of Austin, Houston, and Dallas; and many Texas state agencies.

Also Silicon Labs, Whole Foods, Sysco, Retail Me Not, Keller Williams, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of TX, the Houston Astros, Cerner, Gulf States Toyota,  Huston-Tillotson Univ., Rice, Fort Bend ISD, the Ann Richards school, the Independent Running Retailers Association (180+ members) and many more throughout the US.
