Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas (GSA) is now accepting applications for the positon of Land Conservation & Stewardship Manager through November 28, 2014. GSA is a not-for-profit organization based in San Antonio, Texas and is dedicated to sustaining the natural environment and enhancing urban spaces. GSA approaches this mission through three principal programs: Land Conservation; Community Gardens; and “Picture Your World,” a nature photography program for children 8 to 18 years of age; as well as related public education efforts. GSA is accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, and has assisted in protecting over 127,000 acres of land in and around the San Antonio region.
The Land Conservation & Stewardship Manager reports to the Executive Director. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of conservation easement and GSA-owned fee simple properties, spearheading land stewardship activities, developing and promoting landowner communications, developing and promoting education and outreach opportunities and events related to land conservation, identifying and pursuing funding opportunities and ensuring adherence to standards that maintain GSA’s accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
