Does anyone know rules about having weed free hay at Robie Park or elsewhere? Is it required or not?

No, weed free hay is not required at Robie Park or the vet stops.  If you need to buy hay in Auburn, Echo Valley Feeds is a generous Tevis sponsor.  They will deliver to the Fairgrounds, as well.

if anything grows up there, i'd be happy! there is an invasive little plant taking over the meadow and the droughts are causing a few plants/trees to change but we're watching it ... and the about to be named "drucilla barner meadow" is reacting nicely now. please keep any organic material away from that area if you can so we can preserve our heritage ... but above all, have a great time and a great ride!

xo larimer,
robie foundation

p.s. we are having a work party next saturday morning where our sponsors and the ride are working together to spread straw over the areas that tend to be dusty during the ride. you are invited to come. i think the straw is weed free, but it's free so i'm not complaining if it isn't. :)
