I was looking to generate the SINE PWM by using TMS320F28335 with the help of MATLAB 2015b. I have all supported packages for embedded coder toll box. I have successfully generated SINE PWM by using matlab simulink and TMS320F28335. My approach was, i took sine block and repeating sequence block and one rational operator and fed rational operator output to gpio block of F28xxx block. After building the simulink model on DSP , selected gpio pin provides sine pwm output and i have checked this by oscilloscope. Sine wave frequency is 50Hz and triangular wave switching frequency is 20 KHz.
In the solver setting,I have chosen fixed step method with 5us time step. When i give less time step like 0.1us than it does not give pulses on selected gpio pins , it gives noisy signal. Please tell me about solver setting and step size as my triangular wave switching frequency is 20 KHz.
I am trying to connect delfino tms320f28335 microcontroller with matlab 2015b. I need to get sine pwm. To get sine pwm , i need to compare sine function(50Hz) with triangular wave (20KHz) by using rational operator in simulink. Before this, i have used a pulse generator and digital output block of F28335 microcontroller in simulink and i am getting same pulse at same duty cycle which i have opted in pulse generator block. I have checked this by oscilloscope and it working fine. Now i am trying to get sine pwm by using sine function and triangular wave (repeating sequence block) and a rational operator. This arrangement is giving me sine pwm in simulink scope but not giving on hardware gpio pins which i have selected in F28335 digital output block.
I have attached some files which are sine function setting , repeating sequence setting and solver setting file. For the repeating sequence, i have defined a frequency 'ft' and it's value can define in command window whatever carrier frequency you want to use.
Initially i was using fixed step solver with auto fixed step size but using this, repeating sequence was not generating the triangular wave than i put 1us step size and it was generating triangular wave with pure sine wave. After deploy to hardware, it is building and taking time but not getting output on gpio pin but simulink scope is giving nice pwm which i have already sent.
But if it is urgent, you can always contact MathWorks Technical Support. Everyone on our tech support staff has a MS or PhD in Engineering, so they are very very good, and they have ways to escalate issues to the right development teams here at MathWorks.
hello yair
Since 2 years I use a windows laptop with a high definition screen 32001600.
I have many problems with it low level error crash. I have contacted mathworks without any positive response. ScreenSize value was excatly the half of the reality (1600900) for exemple. Testing R2016a I observe that a very few number of bugs have been suppressed. The best way for me was to set >>OpenGL software in my startup file for some applications.
Thanks a lot for your expertise
Alain
A functional work around (although annoying) is the following: Before starting matlab put your screen back in the default mode (where every rendered pixel is 4 physical pixels). After matlab has started you can set your display back to the preferred scaling, from then on the figures are shown in the correct size.
Because QRev uses data filters, interpolation algorithms, and computations that may be different from WinRiver II and RiverSurveyor Live, the the discharge computed with QRev using default settings may be different than discharges computed by WinRiver II and RiverSurveyor Live.
QRev can be used on desktops, laptops, and tablets running either 32- or 64-bit versions1 of the Windows operating system. QRev should be used in the field to process measurement immediately after data collection and in the office to review measurements. The graphical user interface for QRev was designed to work on tablets, so most controls are buttons, radio buttons, and check boxes that can be easily operated by tapping on the screen. QRev is written and compiled with Matlab and requires the installation of the Matlab runtime libraries.
1NOTE: 32-bit operating systems will only be supported through about mid-2017 as Mathworks has announced that the 2015b release of Matlab is the last Matlab version that will support 32-bit operating systems.
Recommended: Shown to have been reliable and contains features that result in a recommended upgrade over the required version. There could be a few specific use cases where this version may have issues that would result in some users not using this version. If so, those cases will be noted.
Allowed*: Deemed reliable during initial testing. Any issues will be noted along with improvements available over prior versions. Use of allowed versions may be desired in cases when the changes benefit a significant number of the user's conditions or equipment. For example: a new version of software is released that adds support for new hardware. If the user has this hardware, they would need to upgrade to the newer software before it becomes recommended or required. Use of these versions by experienced users will also help OSW identify any unknown issues.
Testing*: OSW is currently testing; any known issues or advantages over prior release will be noted. The use of a version that is in testing should usually be limited to advanced users that can trouble shoot potential issues and provide feedback on any irregularities or problems observed.
*Note: A version may remain in Allowed or Testing indefinitely. Example: A new version is released while the prior version is still in Testing. In this case the prior version may remain in Testing, while future testing efforts are placed on the newer version.
Note: The *_QRev.mat file contains all the original data and final processing settings. The *_QRev.mat file is independent of the original manufacturer files. Thus data processed with QRev should only be reviewed by loading the *_QRev.mat file. WinRiver II and RiverSurveyor Live files should be considered the original field data and not used for review or reprocessing of data previously processed in QRev. In the rare situation where a display of data in WinRiver II or RiverSurveyor Live is not available in QRev, WinRiver II or RiverSurveyor Live could be used to review that portion of the data.
MATLAB R2015b (Version 8.6) is currently available on all the access stations in SERC Bay Area (1st Floor). You can use MATLAB from a ascii terminal, but an X-window system will support more graphic displays.
MATLAB is an interactive programme with on-line help. To get an overview of MATLAB type intro from the MATLAB prompt. The help command tells you the topics (directories) available in MATLAB. The command help directory_name or help function_name gives more detailed help about the directory or the function. You can also look for a particular topic by typing lookfor topic.
