Don't allow users to login until admin allows it (TAG = Tethys Portal)

Is there a way to prevent users having login privileges when they first create an account until the admin gives them rights?

Alan,

There will be changes in release 1.3.0 that will prevent open signup all together by default. There is also a new setting that will allow you to turn open signup back on if you wish. With this model, the admin will have to create accounts for users. Not ideal, but it was a quick way to address the vulnerability.

If you don't want to wait for release 1.3.0, you can you can switch to the dev branch. Just be warned that dev may not be stable. You can read the documentation here: http://docs.tethysplatform.org/en/dev/tethys_portal/customize.html#enable-open-signup
