Initial Value on Select Input

I'm trying to set an initial value on the select input gizmo. It looks like the template code for the gizmo expects an variable called initial, but the select_input options doesn't accept an parameter called "initial". Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Neither. It's a feature request. I don't think the select input allows for an initial value. It's a feature that was left out when it was implemented (talk to Alan Snow about that) and we never got around to adding it. If you want to add that feature, that would be great! You may be able to do it through the attributes parameter. Otherwise, you need to do it through JavaScript. I've added an issue on GitHub to add an initial value for the select input:

Great, Thanks. I think it would be pretty easy to add, since it looks like the template already supports it. I may be able to get to it or I'll ask Ezra to look at it.
