Marking questions as Answered

I think it may be helpful if we encourage people to mark their questions as answered when they have worked out a solution. That way when people are coming to the forum to help address new topics it will be easy to see what issues are already solved.

How would you recommend we "encourage" them?

I think as we come on the forum and see questions that aren't marked as answered then we should respond to see if there are any pending questions and if not ask them to mark their question as answered. Similar to what we see on StackOverflow.

A problem I encounter is when I answer my own question. I have not found a way to mark my answer as the best answer ...
