I installed a fresh instance of the latest dev branch. Everything was working fine, but ever since I installed netCDF4 (I used pip for this) and GDAL(used conda) in the conda environment the server refuses to start. The worst part is that there is no error, it just exits without any error. Anyone else encounter this problem? I even uninstalled those dependencies and now its just stuck here. Is there is a specific file that I will need to look into to figure out why its doing this? Any help is much appreciated.Thanks!

The best advice I have is don't mix pip and conda. Just use conda.
Silly question: Did you activate your tethys environment?

The conda environment was active. I reinstalled Tethys and it seems to fail when I install gdal. This time I didn't use pip and I didn't install netCDF4. The server just doesn't start.

I don't know if this can cause issues, but seems like superseeding and downgrading libraries might be causing the issue. I will keep looking into this issue, but in the meantime if anyone has figured out how to install GDAL and NetCDF4 into the tethys conda environment without issues. Please let me know. Thanks.

$ conda install -c conda-forge gdal netcdf4

That was it. Installing with conda-forge fixed the issue. Thanks Alan!
