OAuth 2 and HydroShare

HydroShare Folks, Ezra, Scott:

This post is primarily for the HydroShare folks. I recently upgraded the version of Python Social Auth to 0.2.14. I seem to remember that version 0.2.13 caused issues with the HydroShare OAuth implementation. Can one of you pull the latest dev branch of Tethys, set it up for HydroShare OAuth and confirm that it still works? If it is broken, we need to fix it, because we need version 0.2.14 to remain compatible with future Django upgrades.

Hi Nathan,

I just tested current dev locally:

1) The upgrading process went well. 

2) OAuth still works with python-social-auth 0.2.14 (I checked that old issue I posted. That version was 0.2.16. And I tried it again just now. Version 0.2.16 is still NOT working properly) .

3) The "tags feature" did not work at the first time. After a "hard refresh" to my browser, it works like a charm!

I remember you mentioned the 1.4 official release will include some changes to docker images? 

We would like to defer the upgrading to appsdev and apps until the official 1.4 is out.

Thanks for the update. We will need to address that before too long, but glad to hear we are ok still.
