I'm running a fresh install using the install script. The following command was used that produced this error:

bash install_tethys.sh -b release -a localhost --python-version 3

The traceback is shown in the images below. Any help would be much appreciated.

I haven't seen that one before. Do you have an existing version of Tethys installed? It tries to install it at ~/tethys by default. I believe there is an argument you can specify to change the install location.

No I don't have an existing version of Tethys. I was testing a clean install environment and this showed up. I'm wondering if something got pushed that was specific to another person's install.

I think there are some problems with the migrations with Python 3. I set up a Python 3 environment a while ago and had to make a bunch of changes to the migrations. I haven't got around to finish testing and pushing those changes back.

Ok, I'll try an install with Python 2.7 and make sure to use future in my apps. Thanks Scott.

I think it will work if you setup the database with Python 2 and then switch your environment to Python 3.

I can confirm that the install works without a hitch if you run the install script with Python 2 and then switch the environment to Python 3 afterwards. Thanks Scott!
