My guess is that since I installed the app as Ad Hoc to my device, not via Facebook, so that 'Last Mobile Install Reported' didn't work. It is fair enough if that is the case, as I expect Facebook to charge me only when people download and install the app via Facebook Ads. But I'm not sure if my guess is all right or not. Can anyone clarify how facebook mobile app install ads works?I've read through -app-ads/ already btw.
But, I don't know what script to run, file to execute, thing to build, or...anything, to get to the next step in the process, which is to add the built facebook sdk to my xcode project. Anything I try to run (e.g. sh build_all.sh, etc.) doesn't work.
how do I get my facebook app reinstalled on my iphone? it has disappeared from my screen and the app store shows it as already being installed. I have turned the phone off and on again and still nothing appears for facebook.
I did the same thing, and nothing happened. Facebook app is still missing from my phone, and the App store keeps telling me that it's already installed. When I try to open it from the App store, nothing happens. and it all started happening when I updated it to the latest version... and my home screen is now a mess! ?
If you still can't get Facebook to work and you're on a mobile device, you can try to update the app. Facebook might be misbehaving simply because the app is out of date and suffering from a bug or an incompatibility. It's a good idea to leave automatic updates turned on, but if you need to manually ensure you have the latest version of Facebook installed, you can turn on automatic updates on your iPhone or update apps on your Android phone.
Another option: uninstall the Facebook app entirely and then reinstall it from the app store for your iPhone or Android. Here's how to uninstall the Facebook app from your Android or iOS device. Afterward, install a fresh version from Google Play or the App Store.
This plugin will install a Meta Pixel for your page so you can capture the actions people take when they interact with your page, such as Lead, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout and Purchase events. It also includes support for the Conversions API.
There are a couple of reasons you may not see the green indicator. First, make sure you disabled any adblockers on your kvCORE URL as mentioned at the top of this guide. Secondly, it's possible that although you saved your pixel in website settings, the site may not yet be updated. Try holding down Ctrl+Shft+r to refresh the website. If this still doesn't work, your website may in fact be cached, and you'll need to wait till later to double-check it, or restart Chrome. In lieu of restarting, I would first continue on past this testing step and proceed with the rest of the installation guide. You can then restart your Chrome browser after installing the second part of the pixel to test.
At this stage, you are presented with information about Facebook Events. Now, the standard pixel we installed tracks page views. The event code tracks when something happens, and reports that as well.
If you are not experiencing this, but have followed all of the instructions, and installed both codes, close your chrome browser and re-open it. Your pixel code might not yet have been published to your kvCORE site after saving it.
After installing Quick Facebook Chat and setting up the Welcome State, you might see it's totally blank on your site. The reason is that you have not chosen the option Message on your Facebook page yet.
You can go to your Facebook Page Settings and tick the option "Allow people and Pages to contact my Page privately"
Right from the first time you installed the Facebook app, it started saving some data on your phone. And as time goes on, the data might get corrupt, causing Facebook to malfunction. In that case, you may need to reinstall it from the Play Store when Facebook keeps crashing on your phone.
If your Facebook app keeps closing, even after updating it, the latest version you're running might be buggy or conflicting with your phone system. In light of that, you may try installing an older version of the Facebook app.
The fastest alternative way to access Facebook if the mobile app keeps closing is via www.facebook.com. The Facebook mobile site works just like the Facebook app, and you can do everything from posting to commenting, liking, viewing stories, etc., from there. Just visit www.facebook.com on your browser and sign in to your account.
In case you're not okay with what the Facebook mobile app is giving you, you can try installing Facebook Lite or other Facebook app client from the Play Store, pending the time Facebook fixes the bugs on the mobile app.
If you are having difficulty installing Facebook, check that you have enough storage for the app. If you have an older device or limited storage, it might be worth considering installing Facebook Lite which uses less space and data.
Advantage+ app campaigns have also received several new features to maximize app installs. Updates include more creative flexibility, 7-day click attribution capabilities, and more detailed reporting.
