Ok, I think I may be out of luck for using this outside my local
network. Let me start by saying that I have a Sprint HTC Evo phone and
the latest version of testtube works great (version 3.0a) as long as I
am on my local network. I cannot connect to my Hava unit from outside
my local network either on 3g or wifi. I have called my isp and they
have confirmed that they do block all ports under 1024 (except for a
handful) and that port 554 is blocked. Is there anything else I can
do? The Hava PC client works fine from the outside but I know that is
communicating in a different manner.

Just to say again, testtube is working fine on my local network on my
phone. I can watch tv and change channels. The video looks great and I
think the sound syncing issue is fixed (was getting a lag before but
don't see that now).

Thanks for your input.

Make sure you've got 8554 forwarded as it is an alternate RTSP. I'm
not sure if the Android implementation of the media player supports
that alternate port. I'm sorry to say it but your ISP may have put
you in a box this time.

I do have port 8554 forwarded (as well as 1778) - still no luck.I we
sure that the Hava device can use 8554 instead of 554?

Devon, could you please provide for the rest of us EVO owners the
setting you used to get EVO working. I can't get it to work on either
the local network or over the internet.

I have Hava HD Platinum. I have it running on S Video and Component.
It has a static IP address, which I used as the "Hava IP". My Hava is
connected directly to the router, not wirelessly.

I have tried connecting on the local IP network, using the address of
the router as the local address. I have tried turning this option off.

I have used both video sources as my source. With each source, I have
tried the "Full Screen Video" beta and I have turned it off. I have
tried all the legacy settings, and have left them unchecked. I am
about to pull my hair out. Any information you can provide as to how
you did it would be appreciated. I am trying to get it working on the
local network, and then I will worry about trying to get it to work
over the internet.

I really didn't do anything special as far as the settings are
concerned. On the local network just use the ip address of the hava
unit (not the router) and you don't need to worry about forwarding any
ports. I would concentrate on getting it working that way first. then
you can move on to trying to get it to work. If this still doesn't
help let me know and I'll see what more advice I can offer.

I have figured out how to get mine working remotely but I will start a
new thread with that as it needs a new feature added to the program.
