TestNG and Eclipse 4.4.2

I just recently re-installed eclipse and the project I am working on which I have done on this computer before with no problems. The TestNG plug-in for Eclipse was working fine before. Now, though, when I go to the run configurations dialog and select : "TestNG -> New" nothing happens. It also fails to run the tests (no spinning beach ball, no errors, nothing) when I right-click on a TestNG test and select "Run as TestNG test". Anyone seen this before?

Running with:

Eclipse 4.4.2

Mac OS X 10.10.3

Hi Aaron,

I’ll take a look. In the meantime, you can revert to the previous version by:

• Uninstalling the current one
• Adding the update site http://beust.com/eclipse-old/eclipse-6.8.6.20141201_2240 and installing from there

My co-worker had the same issue. When she tried installing from http://beust.com/eclipse (6.9.4), than going to the TestNG view, she saw the error :
Plug-in org.testng.eclipse was unable to load class org.testng.eclipse.ui.TestRunnerViewPart.

She uninstalled the TestNG plugin, and installed this one : http://beust.com/eclipse-old/eclipse-6.8.6.20141201_2240  , and everything worked for her.

When I upgraded from 6.8.4 to 6.9.4, everything worked fine for me. Maybe its only with new installations of 6.9.4 (latest), that it causes issues?

My co-workers machine is Eclipse IDE for Java Developers    4.4.1.20150109-0740  and OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

New version works for me perfectly.

I uninstall 6.8.x and then try to install latest version.

It works.

it sounds like installation issue, could you ask your co-worker uninstall testng eclipse plugin and re-install it.

or try on a new eclipse instance.

do you still encounter this issue with all latest version with as below?

*. update testng in pom.xml to 6.9.4

*. update testng eclipse plugin to 6.9.4.201505110455

if so, could you try create a small project for us to reproduce this issue, it's really hard for me to figure out it with nothing.
