Hi guys (and girls),

anyone out there who is bored by this forum-thing release notes, documentation and mantis issue tracking too?

Why don't we use Jira OnDemand (Free for OpenSource projects) and a Confluence Wiki?

Why is this sf.net thing still running since no parts of this platform is used anymore?

sorry to say that but your http://teamst.org/index.php/doc is ... disastrous. So a Confluence Wiki-based Documentation will help us all to improve this?!
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/testlink/?source=navbar is also ... /* no comment */

Why not straigten things up, using github or bibucket platform which is much more prominent and usable than gitorious?!

just some thoughts waiting for your responses …

~Marcel

There is "one more thing" Is there REALLY a need for this "Newsgroup" or will a good issue-Tracker cover this too?!

We do not plan to discuss with the users our standards and guidelines.

Just to be clear: I LOVE openSource and I'm happy to have testlink and I respect your work and/or contribution.

I'm really willing to help you, love to contribute (I'm a software developer too) but often OpenSource communities have some organizational "defects" that make it hard to have "fun" with it..

We do not plan to discuss with the users our standards and guidelines.

That's ... sorry guy... but why NOT? Don't be in a snit, I'm NOT saying that you are making sh*** but perhaps you also have some thought about this but just not enough time to manage this?!
If so, we, the community might help you too!

May be there are communication issue related to email, but your email is full of objections, nothing costructive.
If you want to help, ask us what you can done for us, instead 'firing' over our work.
AFAIK I've never seen a contribution for you, but you think you can send a mail saying '... this does not work, that neither ...'
Regarding

We do not plan to discuss with the users our standards and guidelines.
Because we discuss this kind of thing only with stable developers.

nevertheless that old users might become new developers ... if there are space to have fun, commucation is open for critics as well as for praise.
