Job description:

                       

Position: Sr. WEB Developer

Work Location: Piedmont, CA

Duration: 6 months

                                                           

Skills must have:

•9+ years experience in Web Development

•4+ years experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/AJAX across multiple browsers

•2+ years experience developing in Java or other object-oriented web frameworks

•2+ years experience developing in Ruby on Rails (RoR).

•Strong ability to develop and analyze requirements and to architect, design, and implement high-quality software solutions to meet those requirements

•Proficient in leveraging development tools - source code mgmt, IDEs, and debuggers

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills/ MUST BE ABLE TO WORK CLOSELY WITH BUSINESS USERS

•Experience developing and deploying a high-volume consumer web site

•Experience developing in Flash / ActionScript / Flex, and working with Flash Video (FLV)

•Experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), online advertising, and/or site-wide search & recommendation algorithms

•Background in site scalability, performance analysis, and optimization

•Experience working with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) & related systems

•Experience in database design, SQL, query performance analysis, and query optimization

•Experience with Agile software development methodologies

 

Job Description

•Architect, design and implement major server-side and client-side (front-end) components

•Identify and investigate key requirements and solutions

•Develop very intuitive consumer UIs, incorporating input from colleagues, site metrics, and user feedback

•Deliver software of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail, clever use of automated testing, and direct unit and system testing

•Deliver components on aggressive schedules, on-time and on-budget

•Collaborate with other members of the product development team throughout the development lifecycle
