Alpha 3 is out. No idea why it's failing.

Alpha 2 was a flop, complete failure across CPAN testers. This is a complete
surprise to me as I ran it through my full battery of different perl versions
which did their job and found little portability mistakes.

With one exception (fixed by alpha 3) I haven't the foggiest why those tests
are failing. Can anyone reproduce failure in alpha 3 outside of a smoker
environment? If so, can you diagnose or provide me with a login?
