Pytesseract not recognising ± (Urgent)

Hi,
I'm trying to identify text (mostly numbers) from an image (technical diagram) I have the coordinates for. When it performs the OCR on a particular set of coordinates, for eg. 3±.045 I'm getting 3+.045. What's the solution? Training images with '±' at jTessBoxEditor?
