to tesseract-ocr
I'm trying to update Tesseract from 4.0.0 to the stable version 5.0.0 in Ubuntu 18.04.

Originally, I installed Tesseract 4.0.0 using the binaries include in my Ubuntu distribution. But, to upgrade to 5.0.0 it seems that I need to get the binaries for this version from a package originally not include in the Ubuntu distribution.

Following the instructions from the Tesseract documentation in the GitHub repository (https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tessdoc), the binaries for the 5.0.0 version are available in the package 'tesseract-ocr - Tesseract command line OCR tool (devel)'. Based on the name of this package, it looks like is been use for development tasks. On the other hand, in the same repository I can find this other package: 'tesseract-ocr - Tesseract command line OCR tool (stable - 5.x)', which looks like the last stable version of Tesseract.

Should I use the binaries cited in the documentation to upgrade to the last stable version of Tesseract? Or there's an error in this doc and the correct binaries are in the package 'tesseract-ocr - Tesseract command line OCR tool (stable - 5.x)'?
