Hi,

I've tried to get tesseract to recognize a (in my opinion simple) image of a 4 letter code: https://ptpb.pw/17Yw.png
Is OCR really not good enough to confidently recognize such images or have I been doing something wrong? I already tried:

$ tesseract -c load_system_dawg=false -c load_freq_dawg=false -l eng test2.png stdout

But that gives "Empty page"...

Thanks,
Benno

Trying adding a small white border around the image and see if that gives better results.

Which version of tesseract, which traineddata file, which os ?
