Can Tesseract process BMP files ?

Does Tesseract work correctly with BMP files, or it is limited only to
TIF files ?

Yes, tesseract works fine with bmp files as well as tif files. I am using only bmp file image for training etc.

Don't you need lib tiff enabled for bmp?

I don't know much about lib tiff (perhaps used in Linux). I am using Paint Brush of MSwindows platform as a normal way.
