How Tesseract-OCR calculate the "certainty" value of "best_choice" word?

Hi,

I need to know, how Tesseract-OCR calculate the "certainty" value of "best_choice" word?

I know that the "certainty" value may be between 0.0 and -20.0, but how do it is calculate by Tesseract?
