How can I configure Tesseract 3.03 to output font info?

I built Tesseract 3.03 from source on Ubuntu. Now I would like to include font info in Tesseract output. I tried adding "hocr_font_info 1" to configs/hocr but it was not recognized. I added "tessedit_debug_fonts 1" which sort of worked except it produced too much info (char level) that was sent to stdout instead of the hocr file.

How do I configure it to record font info in the hocr output file?
