I am an ancient greek student currently studying A levels. I have been trying to use the tesseract program in order to "upload" vocabulary lists onto my mac os x - to create quizlet flashcards. I am a coding newbie so have very little idea of what I am doing with tesseract - relying entirely on the internet. Having installed all the necessary components ( I think!) - xcode, macports, tesseract ocr and grc language data- I am at a loss as to what to do.  When i try and create a text file of the relevant greek, it simply says cannot open input file. I was wondering if you would be able to offer any kind of guidance with this. In addition, I have seen photos of a more user-friendly interface, similar to that of a normal application (I am currently using terminal on my mac) - help with that would be of great use too!
Many thanks for any help, Jack

Hi Jack,

I replied privately, but the gist is that VietOCR is a graphical
program that makes Tesseract easier to use on a Mac (as well as
Linux & Windows).
