Just for all the Windows users out there struggling with the command
line...

I have just finished a freeware Windows interface for Tesseract and it
can be downloaded at http://www.softi.co.uk/tess.htm

I hope this will make this excellent OCR engine more accessible to non
techy users.

Regards

Ralph.

Hi!
I have tried GUI and it is great. I'm just wondering if you
can also add training GUI.

Thanks

Here is a dll that you might use to build into it. We hope to get the
code for it into the next version of tess:
www.scanhelp.com/pfile/tessdll.zip

Hi,
Whether you have dowloaded tessdll.zip and succeeded. Let me know
your experience about trainingGUI?
In case, if you have succeeded, will you kindly explain how you have
build dll into tesserGUI, for which I shall be thankful to you.

Hi Sri Ranga

I have downloaded the dll and it does not appear to provide any
training functions.

The purpose of the dll is to make it easy for software devolopers to
include Tesseract OCR recognition in their software.
I did it the hard way before Glen wrote the dll and while I could use
it in future versions it would not provide any more functionality
(Please correct me if I am wrong Glen).

I have no information on training the engine and someone else has
asked for help in this group but as yet no one has answered, so the
knowledge for training is a bit thin at the moment but perhaps this
will change as more developers get involved in the project.

Sorry I can't help you any further

Ralph.
