Tesseract 4.0 and user-patterns

Hi.

I'm using v4.0.0.0-alpha. I would like to use user-patterns but whatever I do, it doesn't have any effect on my results.

I'm trying to decipher handwritten (french) licence plates, as \d\d\d\d\c\c\d\d, but it seems that the pattern has no visible effect on my results.

Did someone had ever any luck with patterns ?
