I got some error during training regular(?) box-tiff data. [tesseract 2.04 version]

Hi,

I am currently using the 2.04 version of Tesseract, and was trying to use the boxtif-2.01 version for English for training. 

When I downloaded the boxtif file and executed the mftraining command line with appropriate arguments, 

I got the following error message 

"Ouch! number of protos = 513, vs max of 512!". 

I didn't add or delete any font files and used the exact file that I downloaded. 

Is there some procedure that I'm missing? Any piece of advice will be greatly appreciated.

I found that the problem character is only "%". 

And I modified mftraining source code that if protos are more than 512  the class not merge the proto.

I wonder that it could make a problem.

2.04 is an old version of tesseract. You should download a newer version. What platform/operating system are you using?

I use ubuntu 12.04 for training. My company had made some products. And they are using tesseract  2.04 ver.

 and WindowCE.

Version 3.02 ships with Ubuntu 12.04

But the device are using tesseract 2.04 and it is a little hard to upgrade tesseract version.
