how to improve accuracy around image border

I noticed that tesseract can give very bad result near the border of an image. What is causing this? What can we do to improve the accuracy at image border?

Example as attached. As you can see the result for the first four lines of the image is very bad. The result around the left border is also usually worse than other positions.
